EGR was swamped with hundreds of orders for the Ford Logo Shield, seen for the first time at the show. Ford is the second largest selling vehicle in America - and Ford owners love their cars!
"The Ford Logo Shields are not as bold as the NASCAR or Collegiate Shields," said EGR Inc's, David Crockett, Vice President Sales and Marketing - Aftermarket and Display. "They are more universal and very stylish, which is why the dealers believe they will be very popular with Ford owners."
EGR's Ford Logo Shields are the first functional vehicle part to gain licensing by Ford. In the past, Ford has licensed only merchandise such as key chains, shirts and hats.
David said the response to the Ford accessory was so strong that the initial order to EGR in Australia had to be doubled. The demand also impressed Ford officials who met EGR representatives at SEMA - and discussions are now underway to license Ford Hood Deflectors.
EGR's NASCAR range of Logo Shields was not only runner-up for Best New Product of the Year at SEMA but caught the eye of a television lifestyle program looking for new ideas to feature.
EGR used SEMA as an opportunity to launch a Fender Flare line for a range of trucks and SUV's. The OE and "rugged look" Flares will be progressively released.
